Fight the patriarchy, but also book the mainstream hotel

So we get a hotel closer to Bourbon St that had garage parking. We were going to be in New Orleans for 3 nights and let me tell you, the free breakfast alone covered our stay. Here are my reasons you should do this trip via hotel:
Typically a better refund policy. This isn’t true for all hotels, but a lot of the time you can cancel up to 24 hours prior and that is very rare for Airbnb.
Safety. There is a staff that is there to assist you should you need anything.
Once the fees are added on at Airbnb, it’s not all that much cheaper if at all.
See above for mention of free breakfast. We (obviously) got everything included and it lasted way beyond breakfast. When traveling food adds up quickly, so this was a god send. Also its hard to get a hot breakfast while working on the road, if it isn’t the free continental one.
Amenities. Not that I used it, but hotels typically come with a gym (you go girl).
Shampoo, body wash, and towels are not guarantees in Airbnb’s but are in hotels.
Laundry. You’d be surprised at the amount of clothes you go through. If you’re going in summer, you’re easily going through and entire set of clothes every day. We had two suitcases filled with clothes and we still would’ve been screwed without the hotel laundries.
The lobby. If you’re working while on the road, this is HUGE. Working out of the the lobby once you check out at 11 is so much easier than tracking down a coffee shop or Panera.
You don’t have to be basic about it. Book a boutique hotel and get unique.
Room service. Hear me out, after 7 hours of driving who doesn’t want chicken nuggets delivered to their bed?

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott made such a good impression on us, I’ve already booked a return trip there with my girl friends.
